Since the scent is named after poppies, I decided to add a hint of floral and red to my otherwise all-black ensemble. Why all-black? Well, if you know the history and myths behind poppies, you should know they're probably the most depressing kinds of flowers out there. So... it seemed fitting. :p
I love them, though. The image of The Wizard of Oz poppy field always comes to mind when I think of poppies.
Granted, the poppy field in The Wizard of Oz was there to put them all to sleep for eternity, but it was still pretty. Nothing compared to sunflowers (my favorite flower EVER), of course, but still.
Anyway, here is my poppy-inspired outfit:
black top from Bangkok
statement bracelets from The Bead Shop
red floral heels from SM Parisian
I'm sorry I don't have more pictures/better pictures of my outfit that day. My camera ran out of battery early on during the event, so I had some of my blogger friends take my outfit photos instead and that one's my favorite one.
Thank you, Ava Te of Artsy Fartsy Ava for the outfit photo and Giezelle Uy of Third World Fashion for the bracelets photo.)
And, oh, you probably can't see them very well, but my shoes are AWESOME. I'm just sayin'. :p I bought them coz they remind me of Carrie Bradshaw. Ehehehe. You likey? :)
