This might seem like a shocker to you, especially if you know me from Bangkok, but I'm slowly falling more and more in love with Crocs nowadays. In fact, there isn't a time when I don't visit a Crocs store to see what's new whenever I pass one at a mall anymore. (It's true. Just ask Gerd.)
Well, Crocs has just launched more shoe lines that truly reflect the lively, vibrant and happy nature of women, in general. After all, women are part of Crocs' biggest markets nowadays along with kids, thanks to its profound comfort and new, fun styles.
Crocs' local distributor, Six Degrees Inc., is currently carrying more than 15 shoe models for women for Spring/Summer 2013 alone, but here are the classic Crocs styles that first appeared in 2009 - the styles that changed the game for Crocs and turned rabid haters of their iconic clogs into avid and loyal fans - myself included:
The Hanalei Wedges
Hanalei in black
Hanalei in navy blue
Also available in jade, espresso, red and white.
The Rio Wedges
Rio in red
Rio in yellow
Also available in purple and black.
Franco Limjuco, Vice President of Six Degrees Inc., reminisces about how these models were introduced in the summer of 2009 and how women stormed their stores then and there to get their hands on them. They were instant hits.
Summer of 2009 was when Crocs started getting a share of women's love by enriching their closets.
What I love the most about Crocs, though, is not just how they expanded in terms of colors and designs; but in how comfortable they are as a whole. Yes, Crocs has definitely come a long way since their clogs days and I can't wait to share more about them on my blog in the months to come! :)
