New Balance and Stance Debut Stunning Shoes for Day and Night

After collaborating for a year, New Balance and Stance are now debuting the “ALL DAY ALL NIGHT” 247, which is paired with coordinating Stance athletic tab socks.

Inspired by the busy lifestyle of people today, the Stance x New Balance 247 pack represents the intersection where sport and life meets. It offers two styles - one for day and one for night - designed with versatility of wear and time-appropriate activities in mind.

The white Stance x New Balance “ALL DAY ALL NIGHT” 247 has an engineered knit, making it more breathable and giving it a sportier daytime design.

It also has a sunrise gradient print on the bootie collar, which I love, and reflective details all around. It also has an “ALL DAY” graphic underneath the translucent outsole and a Stance branded lace keeper.

The black Stance x New Balance “ALL DAY ALL NIGHT” 247, on the other hand, is inspired by nighttime and offers a luxe black leather to suit its inspiration.

It also has a suede upper with night sky color hits on the bootie collar, which looks absolutely stunning. It also has an “ALL NIGHT” graphic underneath the translucent outsole and a Stance branded lace keeper.

The “ALL DAY ALL NIGHT” pack will be available by August 19 for Php7,995 at Sneakpeek stores in Alabang Town Center and Shangri-La Plaza; in Sole Academy stores in Alabang Town Center, Bonifacio High Street and UP Town Center; and The Athlete’s Foot in Powerplant Mall.

Tyler Hoechlin of 'Teen Wolf' and 'Supergirl', and 'Ray Fisher' of 'Justice League' are Coming to Manila!

Here we gooooo!!! AsiaPop Comic Con 2017 is almost here and I can hardly breathe!!! I look forward to AsiaPop Comic Con every year - and for good reason. They make my dreams of meeting the best and hottest celebrities out there come true.

Last year, I was able to meet Nicholas Hoult (and even have a mini duet with him!!!), whom I have loved since my early college days ('Skins', anyone?); Joe Dempsie, who is currently in 'Game of Thrones, but whom I have also been a fan of since 'Skins'; and Millie Bobby Brown, fresh from her 'Stranger Things' gig!

This year, the grapevine is rife with rumours that one of my FAVORITE actors in the whole wide world is coming (won't name him, so I don't jinx it); but for now, here are the celebrities that have already been confirmed for the huge geeky event:

TYLER HOECHLIN

AKA Derek Hale in 'Teen Wolf' and Superman in 'Supergirl'

Sharpen your fangs or get out your capes for Tyler Hoechlin will be coming to AsiaPop Comic Con 2017.

Tyler plays tragic werewolf Derek Hale in the MTV series 'Teen Wolf', though I personally know him better as Superman in the CW series 'Supergirl'. I'll definitely be watching as many 'Teen Wolf' episodes as I can before he gets here, though, to amp up the hype!

Tyler will next be seen in the series 'Departures', as well as in the movie 'Fifty Shades Freed', the third instalment in the bestselling 'Fifty Shades' series. (I haven't read it… does he lose his clothes in it? FILL ME IN, PLEASE!!! :p)

RAY FISHER

Aka Cyborg in 'Justice League'

My blog name should give away how excited I am for a DC superstar to come our way! And while we have yet to see Cyborg in a full-blown movie, my hopes are high that 'Justice League' (slated to show in cinemas November this year) will ROCK!!!

Warner Bros. says they will also be releasing a solo Cyborg film in 2020, where Ray will reprise his role as Cyborg. This will be Ray's big screen debut, though he has appeared in TV dramas and in off-way Broadway productions in the past.

Who's excited? APCC Manila 2017 tickets are now available at smtickets.com and at all SM Tickets outlets with ticket prices at Php600 for a 1-day pass, Php900 for a 2-day pass, and Php1,100 for a 3-day pass. Kids aged 5 years old and below can attend the event for free.

You may also avail of a limited edition Collector's Pack at Php3,500, which includes a 1/12 Scale Iron Man 'Shotgun' Collectible Figure, a 3-Day Pass, a Special Edition Captain America Comic Book and an APCC 2016 Tote Bag.

See you there? :D

On 'Spider-Man Homecoming' and Tobey Maguire

I watched 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' at our block screening with PMCM Management at Resorts World last week, and while I was initially super excited for the movie - since I had fallen in love with Tom Holland after seeing him dance to Rihanna's 'Umbrella' - I ended up leaving the cinemas with a conflicted heart.

I wanted to like the movie. Heck, I wanted to LOVE the movie. I really, really did. And while it was entertaining at parts, it fell short and didn't outshine Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man movies like I thought it might. Maybe my expectations were too high or maybe I'm just too old to appreciate a coming-of-age movie now, but here's what I thought of it, in a nutshell:

Other things I want to point out that I didn't point out in the video? It's funny that I'm seeing so many memes online about how Tobey Maguire is the worst Spider-Man out of all of the ones who portrayed him on film, but I actually really liked him. Or at least his movies. I enjoyed his movies immensely - yes, even the third one, because as stupid as the casting for Venom was, it was hilarious to see Topher Grace in the role and laugh about it.

In 'Homecoming', I felt like the best parts were the funniest ones - and they mostly involved Ned instead of Peter, effectively making Ned outshine who was supposed to be the star of the movie. It's kind of like how Rupert Grint outshone Daniel Radcliffe in the Harry Potter movies. The movies all had Harry Potter in the titles, but you've gotta admit the best scenes were the ones with Ron.

In Tobey's movies, the funniest parts were the ones with him in it and most of the movies really revolved around him as either Peter Parker or Spider-Man. In 'Homecoming', it feels like there is so much going on and so many people to focus on - people who are infinitely more interesting than Peter, anyway. I actually care more about Michael Keaton and his storyline than I do about Peter Parker's.

I also really missed the quote 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Every time I think of Spider-Man, I think of that quote. And I LOVE that quote because it's so applicable to real life. In 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', we get a quote about his suit and it just doesn't make as much of an impact as the power and responsibility quote.

I would also like to point out that Karen, Spider-Man's suit, is voiced by Jennifer Connelly, who happens to be married to Paul Bettany, who happens to voice Jarvis, who is Iron Man's suit. Wala lang. I thought that was cute.

What about you? Did you like the movie? Share your thoughts! I'd love to read them!

On ToyCon PH 2017 and the Joy that it Brings Me

Not a lot of people understand why I love ToyCon so much or why I never miss it. In fact, one of the most common questions I get is, "What's ToyCon?" followed by, "So, it's just full of toys?" HELL YES, IT'S FULL OF TOYS!!!

For a toy collector like me, ToyCon happens to be a dream come true - and yes, I spend HOURS there when I go. This year, Julian surprised me by showing up in a Jughead beanie and it totally made my day - so much so that I decided to save my Winter Soldier costume for comic con and go as Veronica Lodge instead.

Of course, we got to SMX bright and early as usual. I like going on Friday mornings when the crowd isn't crazy. Not only do you get first dibs on toys, but you also get to enjoy the experience without the crazy weekend crowds (though we still went back on Sunday for last-minute shopping hehe). Watch our video of Day 1 of ToyCon here:

A lot of people that I know enjoy going to ToyCon to meet celebrities and dress up and while that is always great, I am one of the few who go there to really shop. I will write a separate blog post on my ToyCon haul, but here are some of the favorite attractions and toys that I spotted whilst there:

I spent a good 5 minutes taking pictures of this display of Marvel statues by the entrance.

Because Groot is love!!!

Cannot wait for these!!! Saving, saving, saving!!!

Went back on Sunday to pick up these cuties!

This makes me want to dress up as Darna!

I definitely need to look into these Filipino superheroes.

Not gonna pretend like I know who she is, but she looks cool.

Pretty Coca-Cola carousel display.

This Wonder Woman doll is so pretty!

The whole cast was there!

Super. Want. This. New Era. Cap. Gahhhhh.

I swear these mugs were made for me. :p

B'lue has cool Spidey bottles!

Gotta catch 'em all!

SOBRANG CUUUUUUTE!!!

I had to stop myself from asking how much these are coz I knew I would buy them all if I started trying stuff on.

These bags are too cute for my life!!!

SUPER WANT!!!

Adorabubble!

Our go-to ToyCon snack: Takoyaki!

Julian was about to give up 5 hours in - around the same time as my feet in 4-inch heels were. Nothing some Takoyaki and hot dogs couldn't fix, though! Soldier on! (I brought flats with me coz I'm smart and practical like that haha)

Julian joined a Mogu Mogu drinking contest. :p

3D printed Groot!

Bad. Ass. Hulkbuster. At Anotoys.

These wine glasses were also made for me!

Spotted this adorable tiny Star Lord giving out flyers!

Yup. Definitely saving up for this one.

THESE GUYS MADE MY DAY!!!

We also spent a good 2 hours at the board game lounge learning new games. Thank you, Gaming Library! You da best!

Overall, the weekend was fun, fulfilling and ATM-draining… Still, it was oh-so-worth-it! And now that ToyCon is over, it's time to look forward to the next geeky event: Asia Pop Comic Con!!! I usually don't buy as much stuff at APCC as I do at ToyCon, but I do go gaga over the celebs there!

Right now, I've got my fingers crossed for someone from 'Riverdale' to come over for the con! What about you?

How Far Would I Go for a Justin Bieber Purpose Tour Concert Ticket?

I was just chatting with a fellow Belieber a few minutes ago and I was telling her that, yes, it's confirmed: JUSTIN BIEBER'S PURPOSE TOUR IS COMING TO MANILA!!!

Yes, my fellow Beliebers, this is not a drill. Now is the time to freak out and check how much money you've actually got and if you've got any to spare for his concert after tuition fees and ToyCon. I don't know about you, but I am FREAKING OUT!!! I was just telling Koji after watching the Britney Spears concert: "Justin Bieber nalang, okay nako sa concert life ko." And now here it is - right for the taking… well, for Php17,850 for the best view, anyway.

The excitement is unreal, though!!! I've been a closet Belieber since the first time he jumped out of his "Baby" shell and a not-so-closeted Belieber for the last few years when they started playing his music in bars. (I just can't resist screaming out the lyrics and dancing along while shouting "IT'S MY JAM WOOOOO" whenever a Justin Bieber song comes on.)

And then I realised that, while I may have thrown a tantrum and cried and whined like a child for a Britney Spears concert ticket, I would be willing to go through so much more for a Justin Bieber Purpose Tour ticket… probably because Justin's abs are on the line this time.

I want to go to this concert so badly, I would actually volunteer as tribute for the Hunger Games if given the chance (after the concert, of course… I'm not sure how reliable my survival skills are anymore). I want to go to this concert so badly, I would actually be willing to stand naked smack in the middle of Bonifacio High Street during its busiest hours. I want to go to this concert so badly, I would make an effort to recreate all of Justin Bieber's videos to prove how much I love him. (Pero siyempre, mas mahal ko pa rin si Julian. Boom.)

AHHHHH!!! Where can I sell my kidneys for a fair price??? (Only half joking.)

Toruk: A Magical Visual Production Worth Seeing

It is no secret that I am a lover of the aerial arts.

What is more of a secret is that I am deathly scared of clowns. And so, the mere mention of a circus usually sends me running for the hills. That wasn't the case when I first heard of Cirque Du Soleil's Toruk: The First Flight, though.

See, Toruk is based on James Cameron's movie 'Avatar' (the blue people, not the air benders) and so, the entire show is set in the beautiful fictional world of Pandora (read: no circus elements anywhere!)

The setup at the cocktail area in itself made me giddy!

'Avatar' also happens to be one of boyfie's favorite movies. He loves it so much, he once asked me if I would judge him if he bought a Jake Sully Hot Toys figure. :p

'Avatar' for the boyfie and aerial arts for me! Win-win!

I practically begged for tickets to see this - AND I REGRET NOTHING!!!

The minute we walked into MOA Arena and I saw the stage, I whipped out my phone to take a picture. I was in awe - and we hadn't even started yet.

You can also become part of the show Coldplay-style by downloading the Toruk app and keying in your seat number. Awesomesauce!

The minute it started, I knew it would be everything I had hoped it would be: beautiful, mesmerising, inspiring, unforgettable, and truly one-of-a-kind.

If I were on Pandora, I would definitely be part of this tribe!

Seeing this bit made me want to do aerial silks again.

You can watch a snippet of that scene here:
A post shared by Angeline Rodriguez (@lilmisswonderwoman) on

By the time we reached intermission, I was all but aching to head to the studio to train. But of course, I wanted to finish the show more, so I settled for doing a Man on the Moon in one of the cute pod chair things in the smoking area. :p

Julian's night was made, too, because we ran into one of his favorite actresses at the bacon dog place...

Cherie Gil! :p So easy to please, this one.

Toruk also had their own version of Chinese pole dancing.

This absolutely stunning sight in itself is already worth the time and money!

If you're looking for a full-on Cirque Du Soleil production, Toruk is not it. No, Toruk is something else entirely. It is a production that everyone, no matter the age, will be able to appreciate and love.

Sure, the majority of the show is in Na'Vi (the native language used in 'Avatar') and most people probably won't understand what's being said; but half of the fun for me was translating everything that was said in the show and having Julian wonder whether I could actually understand them or if I was just making everything up. :p

The storyline aside, it is an absolute wonder to see Pandora come to life in front of our eyes. While it just used to be a bunch of CGI on an IMAX screen, seeing that universe right in front of you is something else entirely. I would highly recommend catching a show this weakend before they head to Taipei for the next leg of their tour!

Tickets are available at smtickets.com! Don't miss out! :) You may also like Toruk's Facebook page for more updates and fun videos.

Snow Crystal White Tomato Works Like Natural Sunscreen for Healthy-Looking Skin

You guys all know that I am proud of my morena skin. However, what I am not proud of is the amount of time I spend in the sun every time the summer season comes around. In fact, I love the sun so much that my skin color turns a weird, exceedingly dark, almost ash-like color. Well, I finally found a product that works like a Natural Suncreen and keeps my skin looking healthy at the same time.

Snow Crystal White Tomato contains some of the most potent ingredients for healthy white skin. It has 800mg of Colorless Carotenoids (PhytoflORAL) from a unique breed of organic white tomatoes that don’t just whiten the skin and even out skin tone, but also reduce the signs of aging and defend the skin from UV rays.

Snow Crystal White Tomato also happens to be extremely affordable compared to other similar brands in the market. Most other brands abroad that use PhytoflORAL or colorless carotenoids can cost anywhere between Php5,900 to Php6,900; but Snow Crystal White Tomato only costs Php2,985. It also comes in the form of soap for only Php299.

The best part is that it also contains 500mg of Kohjin L-Glutathione, a highly powerful antioxidant that removes free radicals and repairs skin for a healthy glow from within. (Read: http://www.lilmisswonderwoman.com/2015/11/snow-caps-get-in-love-glow-even-if.html) Snow Crystal White Tomato happens to be the first brand to combine both of these products in one tablet; so you get so many benefits out of just one product.

Snow Crystal White Tomato also has Bioperine in it to help the body absorb the PhytoflORAL and L-Glutathione better. Naturally, the faster the body absorbs the nutrients, the faster and better results you will get. I was lucky enough to try out the product before it is out in the market and I am loving it so far! I’ll be writing a better, more personal review in a few months after I experience the full effects of the product, as well, so make sure to stay tuned for that!

Snow Crystal White Tomato will be available at all leading drugstores nationwide starting this July 2017. To stay updated with the release of this Natural Sunscreen, like their Facebook page and follow them on Instagram at @snowskinwhite7 J
